The next stop will be the ancient town of Winchcombe, surrounded by the Cotswold Hills, where we stay for the duration of the tour. Your accommodation was once part of a 15th Century Coaching Inn at the heart of the town. A warm welcome awaits you in Abbots House. Full English breakfast is served each morning with a variety of delicious locally produced ingredients. All tastes can be catered for. When you have settled into your room there will be an opportunity to explore Winchcombe with its interesting antique and gift shops, tea rooms and pubs or you might take a stroll in the countryside to nearby Sudeley Castle,, once the home of Queen Katherine Parr, the last surviving wife of Henry VIII. 9 night stay in Winchcombe

DAY 2:Hidcote Manor - Today we tour the Cotswold towns and villages. Visit Broadway, Bourton on the Water and Chipping Campden and other small villages. Many of the quaint towns have excellent antique specialists with a range of well-priced antiques. In Stow on the Wold we visit Styles – a centre for antique grandfather clocks. There will be a talk about the clocks with tips on what to look out for when purchasing. You will visit Barn Antiques - a group of small vendors come together to provide a large market space with a range of items on sale. Before returning to Winchcombe, there will be time to relax in the late afternoon in the peaceful surroundings of Hidcote Manor, , one of the most famous gardens in England.

DAY 3:Worcester Porcelain Museum - Today you will visit the fabulous collection of Royal Worcester Porcelain in their museum. Although the factory has now ceased production, we are able to view the creation that made this company so famous throughout the world. We will be given an introductory talk about the famous china which will include tips on what to look out for and how to spot a treasure. We drive on through the Herefordshire countryside to Leominster, an ideal centre for antiques shops and multi-vendor barns. Our final visit today is to Hampton Court Castle for a tour of the interior and walled gardens. This is not to be confused with Hampton Court Palace near London but a grand castle on the beautiful Welsh borders.

DAY 4:Bath - We spend the day in the historic Georgian City of Bath where you can continue to shop for antiques and also admire the stunning architecture of the Royal Crescent, Circus and the Abbey. We tour the Roman Baths, imagine life in the third century and enjoy the ancient remains. Visit the Museum of Costume, a vast collection of fashion through the ages. The Fashion Museum is one of the world’s great museum collections of historic and fashionable dress. Designated as a collection of outstanding national significance, the Fashion Museum was recently listed as one of the world’s Top 10 fashion museums

DAY 5:Kelmscott Manor - We drive through picturesque countryside and idyllic villages to the beautiful home of William Morris, the famous Arts and Crafts designer. Kelmscott Manor was his country retreat. As you wander through the house which remains virtually unchanged since Morris lived there, you will recognise designs and patterns that have inspired decorative styles to this day. We leave Kelmscott and visit the Cotswold Weavers. Here you can find out about the importance of wool to this area and to the economy in Medieval Britain. There are items of fine quality clothing, cloth and blankets on sale, many of them made from local wool. We visit the Cotswold Weavers in the village of Filkins where the Cotswold woollen cloth has been produced for centuries and quality products may be found. We visit the picturesque village of Bibury and then browse in the fine Antiques shops of Burford.

DAY 6:Stratford-upon-Avon - William Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford upon Avon, now a bustling town next to the river Avon, is your destination today. This bustling town has many buildings that look the same now as they did in the days of the famous Bard. You will see his birthplace, the church where he is buried and his wife, Ann Hathaway’s cottage. After spending time in Stratford you will travel a short distance to the neighbouring town of Warwick, where there are several antiques stores and multi-vendor centres to visit before exploring the finest medieval castle in England,

DAY 7:Shepton Mallet - After breakfast we travel south to Shepton Mallet. You will have plenty of time to explore the Flea and Collectors Market. There is much to see as the market has over 300 stands inside and many more outside with everything for sale from toys, cards, clothes, books, antiques, jewellery, militaria, ornaments, furniture, records, porcelain and so much more.

DAY 8:Cheltenham and Gloucester - Today you will visit the Regency town of Cheltenham and the City of Gloucester with its wonderful Cathedral and Historic Docks. The Docks Antiques Centre is an Aladdin’s cave of collectables and curios. Gloucester Cathedral is a magnificent example of medieval craftsmanship with gothic architecture. The cloisters were used in the filming of Harry Potter as one of the corridors in Hogwarts.

DAY 9:Malvern Antique Collectors Fair - Today another market awaits you as you travel north west from Winchcombe to the Malvern Antique Collectors Fair.
